Sparta, NJ Contact: Northwest New Jersey Peace Fellowship - Thomas Bias at spartanj@march20.org or (973) 729-4043, (973) 903-8384 Details: I have reserved one 14-passenger van. We will leave from the Marshall's parking lot on Water Street in Newton at 6:30 a.m. on the morning of March 20th. That should get us to DC at about 11:30 a.m. We can be flexible about the return time, but my thought is that we should leave Washington about 5:30 p.m., which should get us back to Newton about 10:30 p.m. The cost will be $30/person. I will be driving, but I need a volunteer to share the driving, and that person will need to come with me to pick up the van at 6:15 that morning at the rental agency on Newton-Sparta Road, with a driver's license and insurance card to show the rental agent. The rental agency has four 14-passenger vans available. It would be great if we could fill them all. If we fill up the first van quickly, I will reserve a second right away. Let's make an effort to fill them all: that would be the same as filling a full-sized bus. Obviously we would need a driver, preferably two, for each van. Because we are responsible for the driving, we have the flexibility to adjust the route to come to Blairstown and/or Hackettstown to pick people up, especially if we have more than one vehicle. It might also make sense for those of us from Sparta (other than myself and the second driver) to meet at the Methodist Church at 6:00 a.m. and carpool to Marshall's. Since our Fellowship is quite informal and has no bank account of its own, please make checks to me (cash is good, too): Thomas Bias, 6 Hickory Tree Lane, Sparta, NJ 07871.
