Set up during the day
We will be setting up at Lafayette Park during the afternoon. This will include moving heavy equipment and setting up snow fencing. It will take place from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

If you are in Washington, D.C., on Friday evening, you can attend the Volunteer Orientation to learn how you can help out on Saturday. We will also be making signs (no artistic skills required).

Saturday, January 10

Volunteers are needed to help out all day on Saturday, January 10 with a myriad of tasks between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 pm. When you arrive, come to the stage area in Lafayette Park and look for the sign that says "VOLUNTEERS HERE."


Organize Transportation to DC

If you do not live in the Washington, D.C., area, organizing transportation to DC! If you are organizing transportation, click here to fill out the Transportation Form. This will allow others to find out about transportation options, and it will ensure that you receive important logistical information regarding the plans for Saturday.

Help Spread the Word

The most important thing for volunteers to do right now is to help spread the word about the demonstration.

Click here to view a flyer for the demonstration. It is a 8.5x11 inch PDF that you can view, print and reproduce. If you are in the Washington, D.C., area, you can pick up flyers from the ANSWER Coalition office at 1247 E St. SE.

You can also spread the word online through Facebook, Myspace, email, listserves, blogs and bulletin boards. Also, talk to your family, friends, co-workers, classmates and people you meet on the street about the demonstration!
